Today CTV and The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) announced JUNO Award nominees The Sheepdogs as additional performers to rock the stage on CTV’s live broadcast of THE 2013 JUNO AWARDS. The Saskatchewan natives join previously announced performers Billy TalentCarly Rae JepsenMarianas Trench, and host Michael Bublé. The Sheepdogs are nominated in three categories at this year’s awards: Rock Album of the Year (sponsored by the Musicians’ Rights Organization Canada), Single of the Year, and Group of the Year.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) has unveiled a genre-bending edition of the JUNO Concert Series in advance of the 2013 JUNO Week. A diverse bill of homegrown roots, blues and world musicians will take the stage at Toronto’s Lula Lounge. Proceeds from the March 27 event will go to MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity associated with CARAS.
