Space announced that it is aligning with BBC Worldwide to deliver the live-to-air 50thAnniversary episode of Space’s #1 series, DOCTOR WHO on Nov. 23. Entitled THE DAY OF THE DOCTOR, the highly-anticipated, one-hour special will broadcast simultaneously to millions of viewers worldwide. In addition to the current Doctor (Matt Smith) and his companion Clara (Jenna Coleman), THE DAY OF THE DOCTOR features the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) as well as Billie Piper who reprises her role as Rose, and John Hurt who returns as an ominous figure in the Doctor’s timeline. Canadian Whovians can join the global conversation by tweeting their celebration plans with the hashtag #SaveTheDay to @SpaceChannel. 1. Rogers Broadcasting Limited has requested the revocation of the broadcasting licence for the national, English-language specialty Category B service CityNews Channel (formerly known as CITY News (Toronto)).

2. Given the licensee’s request and pursuant to sections 9(1)(e) and 24(1) of theBroadcasting Act, the Commission revokes the broadcasting licence issued for the above-mentioned undertaking.
